Meta, Google and Fans Meet Idols increase NIL Opportunities

January 25, 2023

ATLANTA, GA – Fans Meet Idols (FMI) announced recent approvals by Meta and Google that enables collegiate Student-Athletes to feature products sold in their FMI Storefronts on these platforms giving unprecedented reach to their Fans and increasing NIL revenue opportunities.

Instagram, owned by Meta, provides a "Product Tagging" feature giving Student-Athletes the ability to embed links to products in their FMI Storefronts within Stories, Reels and Posts leading Fans directly to the "Buy" button in 1-click.

Google is now indexing items sold through all FMI Storefronts into their Search Engine and Google Shopping on a daily basis giving Fans the ability to easily find their favorite items through a traditional "Google search".

"Having the ability to provide a turnkey solution that's integrated with these two powerhouses is essential," said Steve Kennedy, Founder of FMI. "Student-Athletes don't have time to figure things like this out so we did it for them."
